President Barack Obama is visiting Florida this week, making Jacksonville Naval Air Station his first stop today.
Air Force One is scheduled to land at the base at 2:45 p.m., with Obama addressing the troops at 3:15 p.m.
The event is not open to the public.
Immediately afterward, Obama will fly to Miami, where he is set to headline a fund-raiser for congressional Democrats. He’s expected to visit Tampa on Tuesday.
After all, it doesn’t take long to tell the troops “f**k you”! He could have sent an E-mail, though, and saved a lot of taxpayer dollars.
Update: I’ve talked to a sailor on duty at NAS during Obama’s visit. He and other members of the military were completely underwhelmed by the honor and join me in wishing he’d keep his sorry ass in the White House actually working on improving the country instead of flying around giving excuses.

It is great for that, isn’t it? We’re going to be working on rebuilding a chicken house for winter residence/shelter tomorrow. The movable pens to keep the chickens protected from predators on pasture are waaaaay too time consuming for me to move and carry feed/water to each one after work once daylight savings time hits and it is dark an hour earlier!
We need to be working on the roof, too, but since it may rain tomorrow, tomorrow ain’t the best time.

I caught part of it, with the mute on, of course. Most of them kids in whites behind him looked pissed. We never liked it when “VIPs” showed up. It always ruined an otherwise normally FUBAR Navy Day.
Many years ago, onboard the Good Ship Ranger, we got that shitstain Levin when he was just a member of the house of representatives. And let’s face it, he has gotten worse in the intervening years. A whole lot worse and senile on top of it.

I refuse to watch anything BarryO appears on, even my own base, at a hangar just a mile or so from my house. Not having seen it, it is only speculation that he was in the new hangar. It is HUGE. They can park 4 P-3′s in there and when you see ‘em from the road they look slightly larger than a Lear. Just a giant building.
