Obama’s Memorial Day Gaffe

“On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”

–Barack Obama’s Memorial Day Speech

Tomb of the Unknown Soldier: Honor Guard

UNDER the wide and starry sky
Dig the grave and let me lie:
Glad did I live and gladly die,
And I laid me down with a will.

This be the verse you ‘grave for me:
Here he lies where he long’d to be;
Home is the sailor, home from the sea,
And the hunter home from the hill.

Remember today, in the midst of the BBQs and shopping and visiting with friends and family, to honor all of those that did not come back.

Gratuitous Phoenix Mars Picture

When men first walked on the moon when I was a child, I had hoped that when I grew up, moon travel would be as routine as flying to Australia.
