Some Unemployed Spouses Don’t Understand….

There’s been a lot of stuff on television and in the news reports about how great paying government jobs are, and so unemployed spouses think that, since their significant other works for the government, the money tap can be turned on full blast.

Not so fast.

A lot of people that work for state and city government have had their wages cut. Can’t make it up in overtime, because hours have been cut, too. Insurance costs are skyrocketing (thanks, Washington). Their entire department may be cut next.

Like everybody else, their houses are worth less, they still have vehicle payments, mortgage (or rent) payments, insurance costs, day care expenses, and are watching grocery store prices climb daily.

If you want to get angry about out of control government salaries, look at the Federal government (and California).

What Does THAT Mean?

“Meemaw, what’s for lunch?”

Lunch. Hmmmmm. *Checking refrigerator and cabinet for lunch ingredients*

“Uh, cheese quesadillas!”

“Meemaw, what does THAT mean?”

“It means Meemaw forgot to pick up bread at the grocery store.”

SwampMan Got Arm Put in Cast Today

Little boys came along and watched in fascination at the x-rays and the casting process. Dylan wanted Papa to have a red cast, but Jacob wanted Papa to have a camouflage cast. As Senior Grandson, Jacob got to choose the color.

Dylan couldn’t stand to watch the stitches come out. He covered his eyes with Jacob’s arm in case any scary-looking-stitches-embedded-in-Papa’s-arm-flesh images accidentally got past his closed eyelids. I did get pictures this time which I will post later (poor you!), but the camera is now in SwampMan’s truck which is with SwampMan. He dropped us off at home in order to go to his classroom, where it is nice and quiet (unlike at home), to write lesson plans.

The boys were very, VERY good and well behaved. We got lots of congratulations on their excellent behavior and manners (which will astonish Mommy, no doubt), and they got lots of big stickers from the nurse! They put stickers over their mouths on the way home. I had nothing to do with it. Honest! When SwampMan stopped by Subway to pick up a sandwich for lunch later, I picked up chocolate chip cookies for the boys as a thank you for good behavior, although Meemaw expects good behavior all the time.

Twice Deported El Salvador Illegal Robs Then Murders 14-Year-Old Houston Girl

Read all about it in the Houston media. It isn’t like anybody besides bloggers will cover it nationally. Y’all really think that the MSM is going to cover this one? Nah. They’re too busy covering the government reluctantly approving the money for adding 1,000 more border agents.

Think about how you would feel if you found out this POS had been deported TWICE for DUI, then successfully came back through the (intentionally) porous border to rob your child and shoot her in the back, killing her as she attempted to run.

Let me go through that again: He broke our laws twice previously when crossing the border. He was arrested twice for DUI, breaking our laws again. His punishment was a plane ticket back to El Salvador. Yeah, THAT really showed him. How many other robberies/murders did he commit successfully? I doubt that was his first.

In the meantime, our Washington officials do less than nothing. Oh, wait…..they ARE preventing Arizona from collecting and deporting illegal lawbreakers by pandering to illegal aliens, hoping for an expanded and ignorant voter base. And they’re making much of $600 million for 1,000 more border agents. Big whoop. The extra 1,000 wouldn’t cover the Arizona border.

Who is responsible for this child’s death? Well, the illegal will get the death penalty for it, but his willing accomplices are in Washington, D.C. They should be held accountable.

You need to pass the Houston account of this child’s murder on so that her death isn’t also successfully swept under the rug.

H/T Ed at GCP who knows about this outrage because he lives there.

Of course, that evil POS Janet Napolitano is blaming the Republicans.
