Guess Job Loss Numbers “Unexpectedly” Rose Again

I don’t know why it is unexpected! Parents are buying back-to-school clothes at thrift stores and garage sales because one or both of the parents are unemployed. Individually owned restaurants that don’t offer dollar menus are having to close. Skilled workers are idle. High wage oil workers have been arbitrarily deprived of a job by government fiat, and all the infrastructure that depended on them is going to go bust, too. The gulf coast economy was effectively destroyed by government action of the wrong sort and inaction when it mattered.

Companies are afraid to hire employees because of new government health care mandates. Health care companies are prevented from offering the catastrophic policies that unemployed/underemployed people used to buy to protect themselves from catastrophic loss in the event of a heart attack or cancer diagnosis. People’s lives are getting destroyed because of government regulations. And taxes are going to radically increase in January.

Meanwhile, the President (and wife) vacations at exclusive and *very* expensive resorts subsidized by taxpayers. He thinks nothing of causing hours-long traffic backups for people that have to work while he plays and parties and panders to his rich supporters for cash.

I don’t see this ending well.

There seem to be a lot of “unexpected” things happening per Bloomberg:

Treasury two-year note yields fell to a record low after the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia’s general economic index unexpectedly dropped in August, signaling the manufacturing rebound is slowing.

A report earlier showed applications for unemployment benefits in the U.S. unexpectedly increased last week.

Applications for unemployment benefits in the U.S. unexpectedly increased last week to the highest level since November, showing companies are stepping up the pace of firings as the economy slows.

I may have missed an unexpected thing are two.

I suppose that if Israel bombs the shit outta Iran, that would also probably be unexpected.
