SwampMan went back to work today 3 and 1/2 weeks after left knee replacement (he had the right knee replaced on December 23). He hasn’t used his walker now for several days, relying on his cane for support. (You may remember that after his right knee replacement, he used the walker until six weeks postop because of his LEFT knee, then walked slowly with a cane until his left knee surgery.) He’s been off of all pain medications for over a week.
Physical therapy went MUCH better with this surgery. He was in less pain. He achieved greater flexibility at an earlier date (130 degrees flexion during his physical therapy Saturday, which is considered normal range of motion).
Daughter called this morning to ask me what the plans were for Easter. Easter? Plans? I hadn’t even THOUGHT about Easter. I hadn’t even been aware that it was nearly Easter! Well. Now I am aware. Perhaps I should expand my plans out further than having an adult beverage at a beach restaurant today.
