I Still Oppose Obamacare

mini meDaughter put a picture of Zoe on Facebook that looks EXACTLY like I do when I’m contemplating the people excusing the failures of the Democrats to recognize the trainwreck that is Obamacare. WHAT DID THESE IDIOTS  THINK THIS WAS ABOUT? It certainly wasn’t about health care, because there are better and less expensive ways to accomplish what they destroyed.

Oh, silly me. I know what they *thought* would happen. The media would proclaim how wonderful of a triumph this was for the poor and ignore the reality as per usual with all of the Obama policies. But a funny thing happened. Too many people got screwed over for the media to cover up. The lies told by the Bullshitter in Chief were too pervasive for denial, though they did try to deny them as well as blaming the eeeeevil insurance companies. When that didn’t stick, they told everybody they “misunderstood”.

I didn’t misunderstand.  The government is going to subject us to irrevocable harm financially through an unsecure website to get overpriced “insurance” that is nothing of the kind. I consider it more of a government extortion program.  How long will it be until somebody is notified that if, say,  a court ruling doesn’t go the way they want, medical treatment for a family member will be denied?

Think it couldn’t happen? People that supported Romney were audited by the IRS, costing them tens of thousands and even hundreds of thousands to defend against.  Tea Party members were harassed by the IRS as well as other government departments. It’s already happening.  And now the IRS will have your medical records, too, and government will decide what care, if any, you will get.

You Aren’t Being Cancelled, You’re Being TRANSITIONED

Insurance companies aren’t sending out cancellation letters, they’re helping people “transition” into Obamacare, according to a top Democrat.

“If [the companies] changed [the insurance plans] then they have to notify the people who have to have the opportunity to have another policy,” said House Ways and Means Committee ranking member Sander Levin, D-Mich.

In fact, according to Levin, the “so-called cancellation notices” merely “help people transition to a new policy.”

Isn’t it convenient the way he forgets to mention that the insurance companies are being forced by government to put things in policies that many people do not want? I dunno ’bout you and yours, but my husband doesn’t need maternity benefits. Neither do I. I resent being forced into buying things that I neither want nor need. Force is not “transition”. Force is robbery.

The death panels aren’t going to deny us lifesaving treatments. No. They’re merely going to transition us to the afterlife.

John Boehner (sniffle) Fought Hard. Really. Against Us.

Per John Boehner:

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement. The House has fought with everything it has to convince the president to engage in bipartisan negotiations aimed at addressing our country’s debt and providing fairness for the American people under ObamaCare. Our fight will continue.

Fight against WHO, John? The American People? That must be it, because I NEVER saw you actually fighting against ANYBODY except the people that were doing the bidding of their constituents. You remember those people, don’t you? No, not the special interest groups, I know that they have you in their pockets. It is hard to believe that an actual grown man would define “abjectly surrendering and kissing Obama’s ass” as “fighting”. Is there child porn on your computer? I would like to think that there is SOME reason for your sorry, cowardly performance.

Oh, and Ander Crenshaw? We’re done with you. If the choice is between you and a Democrat, we’re sitting on our hands. There’s no difference.

Oh, and SwampDaughter? Um, I think that the nicest thing that your Facebook account said to John Boehner last night was that he was a surrendering piece of dog shit. Sorry about that.

Karl Denninger at The Market Ticker says it much better than I do, mostly because I keep sputtering in rage at the outrageous conduct of the Democrat administration.

The Market Ticker is offline from October 11th-13th as a deliberate act to reduce to zero my economic activity, and thus taxable income, for those three days.

On 9/11/2013 I went dark to protest the NSA’s unconstitutional and outrageous acts of spying against American Citizens — acts they claimed at the time were “catching terrorists” but which they were later forced to admit had interdicted not dozens of plots but perhaps “one or two.” Despite this forced admission our Congress has refused, thus far, to force the dismantling of these outrageous, unconstitutional, ridiculously expensive and abusive programs.

But the NSA is only the beginning of the mockery of freedoms that we, as Americans, are supposed to enjoy. No man or woman is free if he or she is defrauded and robbed via trickery or treachery. And yet that is what our Federal Government, along with many State governments, are doing to you every single day.

The Federal Government asserts that due to the debt ceiling it would be unable to “pay its bills” if Congress does not allow it to borrow yet more money it does not have and cannot acquire through taxation. This is an outrageous lie; the fact is that the Government has been unable to pay out what it has promised from tax revenues for decades, and by promoting this lie they are stealing from you the very monies they claim you’re being paid in “benefits.”

In point of fact the US Federal Government, on an actuarial basis, has promised to pay not $17 trillion dollars (or $53,000 per person) but north of $120 trillion when Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid are analyzed on a forward basis — an impossible sum that amounts to roughly $360,000 per man, woman and child in the country and exceeds the assets of all businesses, households and governments summed together.

In other words, we are now, as a nation, factually bankrupt yet both political parties are demanding to borrow and spend even more.

At the same time we are telling our Senior Citizens and those approaching that time in their lives that these programs are “secure” and will “be there” when it is trivially provable that this is a blatant and outrageous lie, since there is no possibility of ever covering that $120 trillion in political promises.

To add insult to injury you have the editors of Bloomberg, centered in the den of thieves known as Wall Street, arguing that John Boehner’s puny (not to mention both staged and false) resistance to such deficits is “dangerous.” It’s outrageous to read a “news organization” calling for the victims of financial rape to bend over and give approval to yet another round of what they have renamed “consensual sex”, despite the documented and easily-proved damage that has been done to the victims — middle class Americans. How much outrage would they garner if the same demand was made of a woman that had just been assaulted while wearing a pretty dress?

The simple truth of the matter is that deficit spending, willful blindness to fraudulent credit creation and intentional tampering with interest rates, now being topped off with “Quantitative Easing”, dilutes the value of your earnings and destroys the middle class and working American. The results have been seen over the last three decades and are not able to be disputed. You should be enjoying the gains of technology and productivity in your daily life. There should be plenty to feed and shelter the poor in this country and anyone willing to work should be living like Kings yet laboring only 20 or 30 hours a week. Instead the gains created by your hand in improved productivity have been stolen from you along with even more through these intentional acts of abuse, the poor are being decimated and the middle class are earning less in inflation-adjusted dollars than they were in the 1980s.

This is why the job market has not recovered and neither has your earnings power, despite the claim that the recession supposedly ended more than four years ago. Neither political party has the willingness to face basic, fundamental arithmetic that we all learn in middle school, and yet in less than 15 minutes I can prove to anyone in this country, using only the government’s and Federal Reserve’s own tables of figures, that these assertions as to the alleged “growth” in our economy and what has truly happened are not my opinion, they are mathematical facts.

The entrepreneurs and other producers in our economy, myself included, have been enabling this theft and myriad abuses served upon the public. The economic harm has been compounded by actors in several specific sectors within our so-called economy, most-specifically the educational, banking and health-care “industries.”

Proof of the former is found in the fact that Calculus as a skill has not changed in hundreds of years and yet the ability to deliver pizzas to pay for a college education, very possible in the 1970s and early 1980s, is now impossible and the pursuit of said “education” routinely saddles our young adults with $100,000 or more in non-dischargable debt. Across our young adults this debt now exceeds one trillion dollars. We have not only allowed this but we actually cheer on the financial rape of our children and assist in their screwing by filing FAFSA forms so they can be bent over the table by glib-toungued admissions and finance counselors. In my opinion our youth would be fully-justified in eating us — slathered in BBQ sauce — for this willful and intentional act of abuse.

Proof of the latter is found in more examples than can be counted, such as the woman who was billed over $60,000 in Arizona for two doses of scorpion antivenom that can be bought over-the-counter for $100 in its country of origin — Mexico — just a few miles from where she was stung. Rather than respond to this sort of blatant financial rape with indictments and prison sentences our government passed “Obamacare” and demands that we all submit to being abused by medical monopolists under penalty of fine and forfeiture.

Since 2007 I have written thousands of articles detailing all of the above in the various schemes inflicted on the American people to strip them of their wealth and prosperity. Instead of a rising tide lifting all boats, these three sectors along with our government have been actively drilling holes in the boats carrying 99% of the population, leaving them with the choice of either furiously attempting to bail out the water or drowning while the 1% chortles with glee in The Hamptons.

As one of the producers in this economy and an entrepreneur I know, from my own experience, that I can personally outrun this blatant and outrageous theft. But by doing so I create much taxable income, which is then siphoned off in the form of taxes to power the drills that are used to intentionally harm everyone else.

I can no longer square my personal drive to succeed with what my success, and the taxes levied upon it, empowers in the form of harm to 99% of the people.

I have thus decided to “slim down” those activities, reducing my taxable income to essentially nothing. To cease my contributions to the so-called “common good”, because irrespective of whether I keep the money or not that productivity improvement will wind up in the hands of government and these favored “industries-cum-scams” that will be used to drill more holes in the boats of ordinary Americans.

So on these three days, October 11th – 13th, I choose to produce a literal nothing. To sit on the beach and contemplate, to spend my days and evenings with people who I care about, and to deny government at all levels my labor — the very essence of which they are using to screw everyone else.

This act, the voluntary reduction of economic activity, particularly among those who produce, is the only effective means available to we, the people, to protest in a manner that is both directly related to what is being done to the common American but in addition is both expressly lawful and directly attacks the source of the problem.

I ask that you consider joining me; the sunset remains beautiful, even if the sun is indeed setting on what was America as her founders roll in their graves.

If everything is getting “better”, why are our incomes falling? If everything is getting better, why are we a part-time employment nation? If everything is getting better, why are so many people on food stamps? Folks, things are getting worse and the government policies are causing it. Remove your consent.

Syrian Intervention

Not being a student of American history can be painful. For example, President Obama has been struggling to remember Teddy Roosevelt’s dictum on foreign policy “speak softly and carry a big stick”. Initially he seemed to think it was “bow a lot and throw a hissy fit”. Lately, though, he has been convinced that he made an interpretation error. The World’s Most Powerful Man™ has concluded that the most correct interpretation of what Teddy Roosevelt really meant was “stomp around and step on your dick”.

*sigh* The legacy of the Obama administration: Foreign policy through drive-by missiling because he was dissed by somebody . And he’s just going to show THEM. Whoever THEY are.

I note in passing that the killing of actual American citizens in Benghazi doing the job that he sent them to do only initiated a cover up, not retaliation of any kind.

Update: Steve has an even better example in the comments: “Speak grandly and wave a limp dick.”

Make Your Stand on 09/11/2013

SwampDaughter and I were talking on the phone about collaborating on writing a Kindle murder mystery book just for the fun of it. My killing technique was more low tech and left no trace once the soft tissue was gone; hers was more high tech and we argued about whether that would leave chemical tracers and might appear in bone pieces. We agreed that that needed further research. We shared imaginative ways in which to dispose of the bodies. Again, her ways were higher tech than mine, but my ways left nothing that could be tracked back which could be a bummer in a murder mystery where there have to be SOME breadcrumbs left to follow.

We both fell silent suddenly, and I remarked “You know, somebody from the government is recording this conversation.”

“That’s exactly what I was thinking! It’s pretty creepy, isn’t it?” answered daughter. “There is no such thing as a private conversation anymore!”

“When we both start Googling chemical tracers and how long various chemicals stay in dead bodies, we’re REALLY going to be raising some flags at government agencies, I suppose, considering that the government seems to be more fixated on citizens than terrorists.” Especially Republicans or Tea Party members.

We stopped talking about our potential book and started talking about loss of freedom that begins slowly, incrementally, then suddenly the older folk notice that there isn’t any, and the younger folk don’t understand the fuss because they’ve always been under surveillance.

When I read this at Market Ticker, it resonated with everything that I had been feeling and speaking about lately. I decided to sign on:

I keep getting emails that are of the general form “you ought to run for office.”

And I keep saying No.

Because when it comes to fundamental liberty interests there are two facts that nobody wants to talk about — but are inescapably true.
•Free people need no “leader”; the very premise of unalienable rights precludes one, for the most part.

•If you need someone to lead you to do the right thing you don’t deserve the fruits of doing the right thing.

This much is clear — the NSA isn’t going to stop their crap until and unless the people demand it and start holding government — and the private businesses that make what they do possible — accountable.

It has been proved that the people will not vote out of office even those who are known to have committed outrageous acts even when it happens days in front of an election. I point to 2008 as the prime example of exactly this fact.

We all should be able to walk into a doctor’s or dentist’s office and plunk down $100, see said dentist or doctor, and have no record of anything transmitted to or kept by anyone other than us. Today, this is impossible.

We should all have the 4th Amendment right to be secure in our papers, effects and lives, including electronic transmissions, until and unless there is a warrant issued detailing a specific alleged offense and identifying the specific items to be searched for or seized. This includes our emails, it includes our phone calls, text messages and the location data generated as a necessity to provide us with mobile services, which we did not consent to be used for any purpose other than providing those services. It includes no “automatic license plate readers” on cop cars, light poles and similar. This is what The Constitution says; it is not a suggestion.

And we should all have every single law enforcement officer, who work for us and are paid for by us, have at all times a video and audio recording device on and working while they are on the job and the lack of any said record, any delay in turning over such a record, or any evidence of editing or tapering thereof with said record shall be cause for dismissal with prejudice of any charge brought by or through any act of said person irrespective of any other evidence, with one exception — if the suspect is the one who caused the record to be tampered with or destroyed. We have two shining examples right here in NW Florida, one of a county Sheriff’s office that thinks shooting innocent people and breaking into homes without probable cause is just fine and a second city police department that appears to think that outrageous acts up to and including sexual assault, extortion and intentionally ramming a citizens car by sworn members of the force are ok as well.

All of these reforms we can have right now.

But none of it we will have until and unless we demand it and further, the only peaceful means we have of demanding it is to withdraw our consent and support of each and every business enterprise that makes possible the violation of our rights until and unless they stop it and stand against it.

In short, we either threaten to and do destroy through peaceful and lawful means — the simple act of refusing to spend money — every single firm that does not stand with us or we deserve what we get as a society, and all who claim to me that someone should come and “save them” are going to see me erect the middle finger in response.

So here’s the challenge.

On 9/11/2013 if you run an Internet site you go dark.

If you use the Internet you go dark.

And whatever you were going to buy, whatever you were going to do on 9/11/2013, you do not do on 9/10, 9/12, or at any other time.

You get your friends to do it, or you decide they’re not your friends any more.

You get your business associates to it, or they’re not your business associates any more.

If just 10% of the people in this nation will demand and enforce these changes, they will happen. They will happen because if they don’t and we demand and enforce that demand via peaceful, non-violent economic means we will destroy the businesses that have over-levered themselves under the premise that we are sheep and will not act in such a fashion.

On 9/11/2013, I will display this — and only this — on both The Market Ticker and Tickerforum.

fuck the nsa

And then I will look at the results to see who also does this, and who not only unplugs themselves during that day but in addition does not simply shift their activity to the surrounding days.

I will know whether the claims that people “did” do it are crap or not from Internet traffic data that is collected in real-time by a number of firms and I will confirm it via 3rd Quarter earnings reports where I will look critically at the revenue numbers from all of the major retailers with Internet components in the United States, including but not limited to Amazon.

There will either be at least a 1% q/o/q decline on US revenues, or there will not.

And if the lawmakers do not respond, then in October it will be two days instead of one. In November it will be three days, spanning Thanksgiving — yes, intended to screw “Black Friday”, and we will add to it no Internet purchases of any sort for holiday shopping.

And again, I will measure and see whether any material percentage of the people will get behind this.

From this data, preliminary and ongoing, I will decide exactly how far I will personally go in unplugging and walking off. I will decide whether it is worth continuing to put forward effort in this regard — or not.

It’s time for me to throw down the gauntlet.

You either believe in what America was founded on, or you do not.

To paraphrase the band “Rush”:

If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice, and “no action”, in my opinion, answers the above question as NOT.

Oh, Yeah, Janet Lied, Too.

Apparently all of Obama’s cabinet heads are habitual liars. It is almost as though they’d been chosen for that quality or something. Nah. Couldn’t be. Or could it?

Under pressure from lawmakers, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has disclosed new details about the criminal backgrounds of some of the approximately 2,200 immigration detainees let out of custody in February in anticipation of spending cuts, revealing that 32 of the 622 convicted criminals released nationwide had multiple felony convictions.

Several of those with felony convictions were released in Arizona, according to a briefing made to a Capitol Hill investigatory panel.

One had been convicted of a felony charge of second-degree robbery and had multiple convictions for prostitution and lewd conduct.

Another detainee released in Arizona had a felony conviction for extreme driving under the influence.

A third had felony convictions for carrying a loaded firearm, DUI with a controlled substance and felony possession of drugs, among others.

The new details raised more questions about the decision in February by Immigration and Custom Enforcement officials to release 2,226 immigration detainees from facilities in Arizona and several other states in order to slow rising detention costs in the face of $300 million in automatic budget cuts known as the sequester, which kicked in March 1.

During two congressional hearings in March, ICE Director John Morton insisted that only detainees who did not pose a threat to public safety were released and that all remained under supervision.

But information released by DHS officials in response to requests from the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations shows that ICE has taken back into custody 58 of the convicted criminals released nationally after a review showed the seriousness of their offenses.

It took DHS officials nearly three months to release details about the criminal backgrounds, and the information was disclosed only after the subcommittee threatened to subpoena DHS officials, according to Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., the ranking GOP member of the subcommittee, and Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., the chairman.

McCain, who this year has been leading a bipartisan Senate effort to enact comprehensive immigration-reform legislation, blasted President Barack Obama’s administration over the ICE releases and raised questions about Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano’s role or lack of it.

Napolitano has said she didn’t learn about the lower-level decision until after it happened.

Read the rest of the whole sorry story at the link above. Basically, it says that Janet, although she denies it, put a lot of people at risk from dangerous felons so that she could score political points for her master Obama in order to claim it was because Republicans made them do it.

Hey, how’s that working out again?

So, we’ve got liars from the IRS, the DHS, the DoJ, the HHS, the EPA, the State Department…well, my goodness. And they ALL did this absolutely on their own, with nobody telling them to do it.

Sounds like somebody is so incompetent he should be fired immediately because he had nothing to do with ANY of this.

Of course, he’s already been caught in so many lies, we don’t believe a word he says.

If anybody has a breakdown as to which states the felons were released in, let me know. I’d like to know whether felons were predominately released in red states.

Remember This: “It Was Incorrect But Not Untruthful!”

When you do your tax returns next year, remember what the (acting)head of the IRS said in response to questions about misleading answers: “It was incorrect but not untruthful.”

Oh, really? So, the return showing that the government owes ME several thousand dollars for my 457 dependents was, while being incorrect, not untruthful. Oh, did I target certain government groups unfairly? Well. Sorry* about THAT.

Oh, mercy. NOW we have the IRS outing themselves ahead of the scandal last week with a scripted question on Friday that they obviously hoped would deflect curiosity. How about that.

*Yes, that sorry would have about the same level of “sorriness” as was issued by the IRS.

Here’s Why the DHS Needs All That Ammo

target7target6target5target4target3target2target1They have new targets to shoot! Because this is what terrorists look like to the government: They appear to be white, middle class, and in their own homes or neighborhoods. So why would DHS agents be practicing shooting people down in their own homes and on playgrounds?

Is Obama Insane?

From his crazy rant today:

“Air traffic controllers and airport security will see cutbacks, which means more delays at airports across the country,” Obama continued. “Thousands of teachers and educators will be laid off. Tens of thousands of parents will have to scramble to find child care for their kids. Hundreds of thousands of Americans will lose access to primary care and preventive care like flu vaccinations and cancer screenings.

Really. Last time I checked, my property taxes in my state were paying for teachers. My daughter pays child care, not the federal government. Lose access to primary care? Most of us are doing that directly because of Obamacare. Lose flu vaccines? Hell, they’re not even made in America anymore. I don’t particularly give a shit about the airports because, since the TSA abomination, I don’t fly and, according to the people that do, the service SUCKS.

Oh, he’s not insane, he’s pandering to the low-information voters? Bullshit. Call it what it is. He’s pandering to the low IQ voters. But that doesn’t mean he’s not insane.
